Does any of this sound familiar?

Most adults who reach out to us have been managing or trying to — for a long time. Here is what they tell us before their evaluation.

You start strong, finishing is the problem

Projects, conversations, tasks. The last 10 percent never gets done, no matter how much you care about it.

Your mind never actually stops.

Even when you are exhausted, it keeps running. Falling asleep, unwinding, staying present — all harder than they should be.

You have let people down — not because you did not care.

You missed things that mattered. Forgotten appointments, overlooked deadlines, dropped conversations. Not laziness. Something else entirely.

You work twice as hard for the same result.

The people around you seem to manage on half the effort. You have never understood why everything costs you so much more.

You have been told it is anxiety. Or stress. Or just you.

You may have the anxiety diagnosis. The depression diagnosis. And yet something still does not fit. You have always sensed there was more to it.

You thought about getting evaluated then saw the waitlist.

Four months. Six months. You put it off. Again. New patient appointments here are typically available within the week.

Every evaluation ends with clear findings and a path forward

What a real ADHD evaluation actually looks like.

This is not a quick questionnaire and a prescription. It is a structured psychiatric assessment designed to give you a clinically accurate, complete picture of what is happening — and what to do about it.

1. Clinical Interview

A comprehensive 45–60 minute psychiatric interview exploring your attention, focus, executive functioning, emotional regulation, sleep, and how your symptoms have affected your work, relationships, and daily life over time. This is where the evaluation begins — with your actual experience, not a form.

2. ADHD Rating Scales

Validated adult ADHD rating scales reviewed collaboratively with your provider. Not handed to you to fill out alone — reviewed together, with your input on how each item actually shows up in your life.

3. Objective Focus Testing — IVA-2

Ample Grace Psychiatry uses the IVA-2 a continuous performance test — to objectively measure attention and impulse control in real time. This goes beyond self-reported symptoms and provides measurable, objective data to support clinical decision-making.

4. Medical History Review

A thorough review of your medical history, any previous psychiatric evaluations, family history of ADHD and related conditions, and any current or past psychiatric treatment — including what worked, what did not, and why.

5. Co-Occurring Conditions Screening

ADHD rarely travels alone. We screen for anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, PTSD, and other conditions that frequently co-occur with ADHD because treating the full picture produces better outcomes than treating ADHD in isolation.

6. Clear Findings and Next Steps

Every evaluation ends with a direct conversation about what was found, what it means, and exactly what happens next — including medication options when appropriate, and ongoing care available within the practice.

What changes after an evaluation.

Most patients tell us the evaluation itself was a turning point — not because the diagnosis changed who they are, but because it explained who they have always been.

Decades of being called scattered, lazy, too sensitive, or not living up to their potential. Years of compensating with twice the effort for half the recognition. And a quiet, persistent sense that something was different — without ever having a name for it.

Getting that name changes things. It changes how you understand your past. It changes how you approach your work and your relationships. And it opens the door to treatment that actually addresses the right problem. If you have been waiting for the right time to find out — this is it. New patient appointments are available this week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to book?

No. You can book a new-patient evaluation directly. If your insurance plan requires a referral, our team will confirm that when we verify your benefits before your visit.

Do you prescribe ADHD medication?

Yes. Dr. Osadolor is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with full practice authority and is licensed to prescribe all psychiatric medications including Schedule II stimulants such as amphetamine products (Adderall, Vyvanse) and methylphenidate products (Concerta, Ritalin) when clinically indicated following a comprehensive evaluation. Medication is never prescribed without a thorough assessment first.

What insurance do you accept?

We are in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, HealthPartners of Minnesota, Hennepin Health, Minnesota Medical Assistance / Medicaid, Optum, UMR, UnitedHealthcare, PreferredOne, UCare, Medica, Tricare, and Humana. If you do not see your plan listed, contact us before booking — self-pay rates are available and may be more affordable than you expect.

How long does the evaluation take?

The initial evaluation typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes. Follow-up visits are typically 15 to 30 minutes.

Is the visit fully online?

Yes. All visits are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth video. You can join from any private space in Minnesota using a phone, tablet, or computer.

What if I already have an ADHD diagnosis?

If you have a prior ADHD diagnosis and are looking for ongoing medication management or a second evaluation, we can help. Book under General Psychiatric Evaluation and note your prior diagnosis in your intake forms. Dr. Osadolor will review your history and current treatment during your first appointment.

What happens after the evaluation?

Your evaluation ends with a direct conversation about findings and recommendations. If ADHD is confirmed, Dr. Osadolor will discuss treatment options, including medication, strategies, and referrals to therapy if appropriate. Ongoing medication management is available within the practice — you do not need to find a separate provider for follow-up care.
